A Message from David Draper - Headteacher 1998-2007
I am delighted to send a comment to celebrate BESG on the 50th Anniversary.
I was Head master there from 1998 to 2007 and saw the 40th Anniversary. Many changes took place during my time in the school, as numbers grew and buildings developed. In particular we saw the new Foundation Years classroom space and playground, the music room, staff room and outside play areas all built. I was also delighted that we achieved a dedicated Nurses's Room. However, these were just buildings. My lasting memories are of the friendliness of the school community and the real support given by the PTA. I personally enjoyed the residential trips and clubs, which allowed me to get to know the pupils much better.
On your 50th Anniversary I wish the whole school community all the best for the next 50 years. I hope that I can get a chance to visit at some stage and see new developments that continue to provide a wonderful education for pupils in Ankara.
